I may be too into ASOIAF & GOT. I spent the entire year between seasons 1 & 2 listening to the books repeatedly on audio in the car & while exercising. I have read chapter by chapter analysis of the books on various websites. On the night a new episode comes out, I will watch it live, then On Demand, & then, on HBOGO w/ interactive features & read four different online recaps.The thing that I like best about this book (& why I paid to read it in addition to other online "recaps") is that instead of just recapping, it gave me new things to think about when contemplating GOT S01. While reading this book, I rewatched the episodes & understood them better. Things that had previously perplexed me I now understood. Things that I thought I had understood I now understood better. I can't wait for the S03 edition.

Short but fine interesting essays. Fast shipping.
A Very insightful analysis but does tend to sometimes repeat quotes and meander. Overall still very valuable in understanding the game of thrones.
What an awesome book. Probably the best I've read regarding Game of Thrones (and I've read a lot). I am blown away by Pearson's insights. I read it cover to cover. Highly recommended. Well worth $12.

Found it to be very interesting from another's perspective. Will buy Season II.
Mr. Moore is unusually thoughtful and insightful into the overarching themes of ASoIaF, More than any other author I have read on either the series of novels or the HBO show, he has a deeper and clearer vision of George R.R. Martin's masterpiece.
Pearson Moore takes readers to school with his intellectual approach toward the episodes of Game of Thrones, Season 1.
Those looking for a rehash of "what happened this week on the show" need not apply. This collection of essays sets aside simple retelling of basic events. Instead, the focus is on helping show watchers gain a deeper understanding of the series' characters, events, and themes.
While the prospect of an "intellectual discussion" might turn some away, I can assure you that Pearson Moore has a knack for transforming hard to reach ideas into a format that is easily digestible for any reader.

I am so happy I came across this book while browsing for more books that dive deep into the GOT series. This book delivered on all levels. Now reading the season two essays. Please consider writing season three essays. I am now a loyal fan of your books and look forward to reading more of your wonderful thought provoking books.
